404 Error When Opening a Product

If clicking a product in the widget opens a 404 page — the problem is with the links in your feed.

Why does this happen?

Spefix takes product links from your feed. If the links in the feed point to pages that don't exist — the user gets a 404 error.

The most common causes:

The link points to a product variation — the feed has links to a specific color or size instead of the main product page. If that variation is unavailable — the page doesn't exist.

Incorrect links generated by a plugin — some plugins automatically generate links with errors.

How to fix it?

Links in the feed should point to the main product page, where the buyer chooses the color and size themselves.

tip

Check a few links from the feed manually — open them in a browser and make sure the pages exist.

Option 2: Avoid variations in the feed

If you're using the Google Merchant Center plugin — don't add variations to the feed. Keep only the main product without sizes and colors.

Option 3: Use grouping

If you want to keep variations in the feed — set up grouping according to our rules. Then the widget will show the group's main product with a correct link.
